Do you need someone to operate and maintain your station?

With our detailed knowledge and experience in broadband seismic systems, we can provide a complete station operation and support service.

The Eskdalemuir station.

In July 2002, Güralp Systems was awarded the contract from open tender to provide the station operation and maintenance services for the Eskdalemuir Seismic Array, located in Scotland, UK, for the AWE Blacknest Seismological Group.

Güralp Systems continues to maintain the array on behalf of Blacknest, and are currently in the process of negotiating an upgrade to the system to use Güralp's latest communications technology.

Installation service

Installing a seismic system in southern Chile.

Güralp Systems offers a rapid deployment service for all kinds of seismic installation. With our experienced staff on hand, you can be confident that your project will benefit from industry-leading instrumentation swiftly and professionally installed.

Training courses

Güralp Systems offer training sessions in the theory and practice of broadband seismometry, with emphasis on the usage and maintenance of Güralp instruments. Courses for groups of up to 10 people can be conducted at our factory, and generally last 1 – 2 days. Accommodation is available nearby.

Training at Calleva Park.

Three introductory courses are available:

Introduction to broadband seismometers
Basic maintenance and troubleshooting
Using Scream!, digitizers and data modules

More specialized training can also be provided in particular areas to suit your requirements. Possible topics include

Low-noise installation techniques
Borehole and ocean bottom systems
Advanced networking with DCMs
